Rating and badge methodology

Version 2026.2. Public formulas, minimum samples and equal rules for positive and negative reviews.

Two separate assessments

The register indicator uses PRH and its check date. The service rating uses only approved reviews with verified orders. VAT, age, package payment and third-party memberships add no quality points.

Stars and points

Stars are the average over the last 365 days. Points account for sample size: 20 × (sum of stars + 5 × 3.5) / (review count + 5). This is smoothing using five prior observations at 3.5, not added reviews. With zero reviews both scores are absent.

Rankings require five reviews. Sort order: points, review count, then name. Compare the same service and confirmed coverage.

Documents are an eligibility requirement

These are Verti programme conditions, not a claim that the same documents are legally mandatory for every trade. Documents do not guarantee the outcome of a service.

Registration extract

Legal name and Business ID. Extract issued within the last 90 days.

Representative authority

Signing authority or authorisation confirmed within the last 90 days. No passport required.

Liability insurance

Policyholder, work covered, period, limit and exclusions. The moderator checks coverage against the stated services.

Service and complaint terms

Pricing, extras, cancellation, liability, complaint process and contact.

  • For work requiring permission or qualifications, attach evidence. The moderator assesses applicability to the stated work.
  • The moderator checks sources, that the documents belong to the company, and each requirement separately. Uploading files alone grants no admission.
  • Admission lasts at most one year and no longer than the insurance. Updated documents require a new review. Deletion or revocation makes the linked certificate inactive.

Issuance and loss of validity

A badge requires a verified representative, approved documents, a green register indicator and no substantiated unresolved complaint. Validity is up to 365 days, limited by admission and insurance expiry. Review observation must span at least 30, 90 or 180 days for bronze, silver or gold. The formula determines the level. After moderation, the system checks eligibility and automatically issues the matching level; if PRH is unavailable the check can be retried. Revocation, lost eligibility or expiry produces an inactive verification result. An unverified complaint alone does not revoke a badge.

Moderation and abuse prevention

  • Sign-in identifies an account, not the order itself. A moderator checks evidence, provider, date and the author’s connection to the order.
  • Duplicates by company and email are rejected; IPs have a daily limit. Email and IP checks use private HMAC values. A shared network is not proof of manipulation.
  • Authors cannot moderate their own reviews. Decisions require reasons and are audited. A verified company may submit a response for moderation.
